Level 30 walkthrough
Meowdoku Level 30 Walkthrough: A Hard 10x10 Ruled by Latte
Meowdoku Level 30 is a hard 10x10 board with ten colors, a single rose tile in the corner, and a huge latte region that only gets its cat at the very end.
Meowdoku Level 30 is the biggest board you have met so far in this run of cat games: a full 10x10 grid carved into ten colored regions and rated hard. Your job never changes, though. You place one cat in every color, one in every row, and one in every column, and no two cats may ever touch, not even at a corner. Meowdoku is a free cat puzzle game that runs right in your browser, so you can open this level on a phone or a laptop without installing anything.
What makes Level 30 feel intimidating is the size difference between its regions. Rose is a single tile while latte swallows 28 tiles across the bottom half of the board. The good news is that big regions are patient; they wait for everyone else. This walkthrough explains the layout, the forced opening in the top left corner, the clever column 2 deduction that unlocks the middle of the solve, and the habits that make later logic puzzle games and brain games feel much friendlier.

Meowdoku Level 30 at a glance
- Board: 10×10 grid with 10 colored regions and 10 cats to place
- Difficulty: Hard
- Hardest technique needed: Tile touching a whole color
- Logical steps: 22 (10 cats and 12 crosses)
- Smallest color: rose with 1 tile
Touring the Meowdoku Level 30 board
The ten colors on this board are rose, apricot, butter, matcha, mint, soda, periwinkle, lilac, bubblegum, and latte. Rose is the smallest region by far with exactly one tile, sitting in the very corner at row 1, column 1. Lilac has four tiles tucked into the bottom right, apricot has five along the top, and butter has six clustered in the top left.
From there the regions grow quickly. Soda has eight tiles down the right edge, mint and bubblegum each have nine, and periwinkle has ten in the middle right. Matcha covers twenty tiles that sprawl across the upper middle, and latte is the giant of this cat puzzle game with 28 tiles filling most of the lower board.
When one color is that large, it almost never gives you information early. Instead, treat latte as the color that will be solved last and spend your attention on rose, lilac, apricot, and butter, where the open tiles are few enough to count on one hand.
The opening move: the rose corner is forced
Every Meowdoku board hands you at least one gift, and on Level 30 the gift is rose. Because the rose region is a single tile, the rose cat can only go on row 1, column 1. Double-tap that tile and the first cat of the level is settled with no reasoning required.
That corner cat does a surprising amount of work. It clears the whole of row 1 and the whole of column 1, plus the tiles that touch it diagonally. Apricot immediately drops to one open tile at row 2, column 6, so your second cat lands there. Butter follows at row 3, column 3, and matcha at row 4, column 5, each because the region has a single open tile left.
Four cats into one of the harder cat games on the site and you have not needed a single advanced technique. Everything so far is T1, the last open tile in a color, which is exactly the kind of momentum you want before the board asks something harder.
The key moment: column 2 belongs to bubblegum
The fifth cat is where Meowdoku Level 30 earns its hard rating. Look at bubblegum after those first four cats. Every open bubblegum tile now sits in column 2, and since bubblegum must have a cat somewhere, that cat has to be in column 2. A column only ever holds one cat, so no other color may use column 2 at all. Cross out the latte tiles at row 5, column 2, row 6, column 2, row 8, column 2, and row 10, column 2.
Two more crosses come from the touching rule, which is technique T4. The tile at row 6, column 7 touches every open tile left in the mint region, so wherever the mint cat eventually lands, it would sit next to that tile. The same is true of row 6, column 9 for soda. Neither tile can hold a cat, so both get a cross. Then periwinkle shows the same line trick as bubblegum: all its open tiles are in row 7, which means the row 7 cat must be periwinkle, and the bubblegum tile at row 7, column 2 comes off the board.
With that one cross, bubblegum is down to a single open tile and the cat goes on row 9, column 2. The same reasoning keeps paying out: periwinkle owning row 7 also removes latte at row 7, column 4 and soda at row 7, column 10, mint owning row 5 removes soda at row 5, column 9 and row 5, column 10, and row 6, column 8 touches every open periwinkle tile. Soda then lands on row 6, column 10, and lilac, periwinkle, mint, and finally latte each fall into place as the last open tile in their color.
Habits that make big Meowdoku boards easier
A 10x10 grid has a hundred tiles, and that can feel like a lot to hold in your head. The trick is that you never actually reason about the whole board at once. You reason about one small region at a time and let the crosses spread outward, which is the same skill that carries you through other logic puzzle games and brain games.
These habits are the ones worth taking from Level 30 into the rest of the Meowdoku campaign.
- Sort the colors by size in your head and always start with the smallest ones.
- When a color fits entirely inside one row or column, claim that line for it and cross out every other color there.
- Single-tap crosses as soon as you prove them so the board remembers your reasoning instead of your memory.
- Before guessing, ask whether any tile sits next to every remaining option of some color, because that tile is always safe to cross.
- Leave the largest region, latte here, for the very end; it will be forced once the others are settled.
- If you stall, a hint reveals the next forced cat, and the puzzle stays solvable without spending fish on a wrong guess.
Step-by-step Meowdoku Level 30 solution
Every cat below is forced by logic, in the order a careful solver finds them. No guessing is needed. If you only want a nudge, read one step, close this page, and return to the game.
Cat 1: row 1, column 1 (rose)
The rose region has only one open tile left, so its cat goes on row 1, column 1. Technique: Last open tile in a color.
Cat 2: row 2, column 6 (apricot)
With the rows, columns, and neighbors of the first cat crossed out, the apricot region has only one open tile left, so its cat goes on row 2, column 6. Technique: Last open tile in a color.
Cat 3: row 3, column 3 (butter)
With the rows, columns, and neighbors of the 2 cats placed so far crossed out, the butter region has only one open tile left, so its cat goes on row 3, column 3. Technique: Last open tile in a color.
Cat 4: row 4, column 5 (matcha)
With the rows, columns, and neighbors of the 3 cats placed so far crossed out, the matcha region has only one open tile left, so its cat goes on row 4, column 5. Technique: Last open tile in a color.
Cat 5: row 9, column 2 (bubblegum)
First, cross out the tiles that cannot hold a cat:
- Every open bubblegum tile sits in column 2, so that column's cat must be bubblegum. Cross out the latte tile at row 5, column 2.
- Every open bubblegum tile sits in column 2, so that column's cat must be bubblegum. Cross out the latte tile at row 6, column 2.
- Every open bubblegum tile sits in column 2, so that column's cat must be bubblegum. Cross out the latte tile at row 8, column 2.
- Every open bubblegum tile sits in column 2, so that column's cat must be bubblegum. Cross out the latte tile at row 10, column 2.
- The tile at row 6, column 7 touches every open tile left in the mint region. Wherever the mint cat lands, it would touch this tile, so cross it out.
- The tile at row 6, column 9 touches every open tile left in the soda region. Wherever the soda cat lands, it would touch this tile, so cross it out.
- Every open periwinkle tile sits in row 7, so that row's cat must be periwinkle. Cross out the bubblegum tile at row 7, column 2.
With the rows, columns, and neighbors of the 4 cats placed so far crossed out, the bubblegum region has only one open tile left, so its cat goes on row 9, column 2. Technique: Last open tile in a color.
Cat 6: row 6, column 10 (soda)
First, cross out the tiles that cannot hold a cat:
- Every open periwinkle tile sits in row 7, so that row's cat must be periwinkle. Cross out the latte tile at row 7, column 4.
- Every open periwinkle tile sits in row 7, so that row's cat must be periwinkle. Cross out the soda tile at row 7, column 10.
- The tile at row 6, column 8 touches every open tile left in the periwinkle region. Wherever the periwinkle cat lands, it would touch this tile, so cross it out.
- Every open mint tile sits in row 5, so that row's cat must be mint. Cross out the soda tile at row 5, column 9.
- Every open mint tile sits in row 5, so that row's cat must be mint. Cross out the soda tile at row 5, column 10.
With the rows, columns, and neighbors of the 5 cats placed so far crossed out, the soda region has only one open tile left, so its cat goes on row 6, column 10. Technique: Last open tile in a color.
Cat 7: row 8, column 9 (lilac)
With the rows, columns, and neighbors of the 6 cats placed so far crossed out, the lilac region has only one open tile left, so its cat goes on row 8, column 9. Technique: Last open tile in a color.
Cat 8: row 7, column 7 (periwinkle)
With the rows, columns, and neighbors of the 7 cats placed so far crossed out, the periwinkle region has only one open tile left, so its cat goes on row 7, column 7. Technique: Last open tile in a color.
Cat 9: row 5, column 8 (mint)
With the rows, columns, and neighbors of the 8 cats placed so far crossed out, the mint region has only one open tile left, so its cat goes on row 5, column 8. Technique: Last open tile in a color.
Cat 10: row 10, column 4 (latte)
With the rows, columns, and neighbors of the 9 cats placed so far crossed out, the latte region has only one open tile left, so its cat goes on row 10, column 4. Technique: Last open tile in a color.
Meowdoku Level 30 solved board
Here is the finished board. Every row, every column, and every color holds exactly one cat, and no two cats touch, not even at the corners.
Meowdoku Level 30 FAQ
What is the solution to Meowdoku Level 30?
In solve order, the cats go on row 1, column 1 (rose); row 2, column 6 (apricot); row 3, column 3 (butter); row 4, column 5 (matcha); row 9, column 2 (bubblegum); row 6, column 10 (soda); row 8, column 9 (lilac); row 7, column 7 (periwinkle); row 5, column 8 (mint); and row 10, column 4 (latte).
Where does the first cat go in Meowdoku Level 30?
Place the first cat on row 1, column 1. The rose region is only that one tile, so the rose cat has nowhere else to sit, which makes it the safest opening move in this cat puzzle game.
How do I find the bubblegum cat in Meowdoku Level 30?
After the first four cats, every open bubblegum tile sits in column 2, so column 2 must hold the bubblegum cat. Cross out the latte tiles at row 5, column 2, row 6, column 2, row 8, column 2, and row 10, column 2. Then cross row 6, column 7 and row 6, column 9 because each touches every open tile of mint and soda, and cross the bubblegum tile at row 7, column 2 because periwinkle owns row 7. Bubblegum is left with row 9, column 2.
Why is Meowdoku Level 30 rated hard?
It is a 10x10 board with ten colors, and the solve needs 22 steps with 12 crosses along the way. Nine of those steps lock a color to a single line and three use the touching rule, which is more bookkeeping than most of the earlier animal games in the campaign.
Is Meowdoku free to play in a browser?
Yes. Meowdoku is one of those free online games that needs nothing but a browser tab, so you can enjoy these cat games and brain games on any modern phone, tablet, or computer.
